This is a new author for me but one I will never forget! There are many books recently about death and reapers but this one has completely stood out. It is so different from the others in the best way possible. This book made me cry, smile and even angry at times which is hard to make me do as I do not get angry easily.
The prologue was a bit confusing for me as it seems to jump point of view a couple times but once I got to the first chapter it all started to make sense. The first couple chapters had me worried about the type of story that I was reading. I was truly unnerved about Isabeau's acceptance of some things and not others. However as the story continued, I was hooked! I had to know what was going to happen because Nine While Nine keeps you wondering and slightly confused throughout the book but in a way that grips you.
While I was reading, I wanted all of these things to happen and it seemed that in almost every chapter what I felt and wanted to happen changed because of how each character reacted. I remember as I was getting closer to the end by watching the percent finished on my kindle and completely DREADING it! I was enthralled and wanted the story to just continue forever. All of these characters were real to me and I wanted to know how their stories unfolded.
Then it ended.
I was literally crying because right before that the biggest thing I wanted the whole book happened. But like any great author there was a HUGE plot twist and a cliffhanger the size of the Grand Canyon!
My heart was in pieces. I honestly felt like I NEEDED the next book right then to fix it. So I am counting the days until I can get my hands on the next book in the series. I even messaged Stasia to see when I could get it. I told her how much she took me on an emotional roller coaster and how I enjoyed every step of it. Stasia is an amazing author but she also is a very sweet human so I HIGHLY recommend this book, the awesome publishing company who allowed me to read this for an honest review and, of course, the wonderful lady who wrote it!
